Prospector’s $tory: A Test

Prospector’s $tory: A Test

“Activists should be pushing for more moderates to advise President, not fewer. How could having only extremists advise him possibly be good?”
– Elon Musk

Etch my heart out for you to see on this keyboard,
Sketch a picture for you in staccato spoken words,
Don’t you see that my mind is shivering cold-black,
Ice + iron, silicon + aluminum, machine precision,

Can’t you see it?!  In the funeral of your mind,
Can’t you feel it?!  In the funeral of your mind,
Can’t you taste it?!  In the funeral of your mind,
Don’t you want it?!  In the funeral of your mind,

Etch-A-Sketch on my wrist, a Norwegian Helle knife,
Knives made to be used, knives made to be used,
Are we crazy?  At four A.M. on a beach vacation,
Am I crazy?  Can’t you see it we need a map?

Can’t you see it?! We need a map etched in blood,
How do dystopias evolve from utopian visions?
Can’t you feel it?! Nightmares etched in night,
To explain how utopias evolve from dystopias,

Can’t you taste it?! What’s it going to take?
To explain this path of self-destructive immolation,
Don’t you want it?! Portland, Oregon Mt. Hood,
Rolled out Therma-A-Rest hidden sleeping shroud,

Prospector and I hiked to Helen and traded war stories,
Las Vegas times, gambling with chips and silicon AI’s,
Making shots in a barrel, shooting at fish moving too fast,
Slippery, excuse me, you can bet on it, culture loose,

Outside the show, begging for a hit, in Berkeley the best poets,
Walk from the street to the microphone and back again,
Prospector and I are paranoid the cops are coming,
Things we said, things we did, under the influence,

Don’t drive while possessed by a demon, demons are real,
Am I crazy? Can’t you see it? Can’t you feel it?
Why are you up at 1 A.M.? I dreamed about getting an amplifier,
Live code a spoken word Hellfest to make you taste it,

It’s a thin line between method and madness, to learn and get it right,
Learn to operate with transparency, I don’t want to tell you it,
It’s gonna to crack out in drops, map etched in blood,
Prospector’s story is not mine, this is just a test.

About kayaerbil

I am a Berkeley educated chemistry Ph.D. who is moving into the area of working on developing appropriate technology for communities that are subjected to socio-economic oppression. The goal is to use simple and effective designs to empower people to live better lives. Currently, I am working with Native Americans on Pine Ridge, the Lakota reservation in South Dakota. I am working with a Native owned and run solar energy company. We are currently working on building a compressed earth block (CEB) house that showcases many of the technologies that the company has developed. The CEB house is made of locally derived resources, earth from the reservation. The blocks are naturally thermally insulating, keeping the house cool in the summer and warm in the winter. Eventually, a solar air heater and photovoltaic panels will be installed into the house to power the home and keep it warm, while preserving the house off the grid. A side project while in Pine Ridge is a solar computer. I hope to learn about blockchain encryption software for building microgrids. In addition, it is an immediate interest of mine to involve local youth in technology education.
