“I’M NOT TRYING TO INCITE ANYTHING, BUT FACT OF THE MATTER IS THEY HAVE SHOWN US NUMEROUS TIMES THEY DON’T PLAY FAIR, I ENCOURAGE EVERYONE 2 HAVE A WEAPON , NOT TO COME BRANDISHING IT, BUT JUST IN CASE….. IN CARRY AND CONCEAL THEY TEACH U ABOUT WHY WEAPONS ARE NECESSARY ONE OF THE REASONS THEY USE IS , SO NO PARTY CAN ESCALATE FORCE TO A LEVEL HIGHER THAN YOURSELF….. BUT BE SAFE AND BE SMART… BUT DON’T BE A PUSSY!”

“This man has never himself physically hurt maybe even a flea. Some argue he is only a fuming fluff of foam floating on a river of pollution, exposing the ugly that has always been flowing, repressed, hidden. During WWII he wore an ugly little smudge of a mustache. Ugly, again, finally gets its popular spokesman. And this fuming fluff of foam will always arise as long as there is a river of pollution. And, yes, we all have a strange fascination with him. This is why he goes down in history in infamy. This is why we like horror movies. Maybe we can do better some day.”

I am not going to go to the anti-KKK rally for the simple reason that I do not fight in war, I write poems. I would end up in prison if I went, and for that reason I support people going, but cannot go myself. I hope one day to see that I am not so wounded as to get angry like this and therefore have the strength to protest nonviolently. However, I have to be honest with myself and see that if there is a KKK rally the only response is a violent one. The time of the weak being told to turn the other cheek and the strong unloading a clip is over. This is the Age of Justice and the future is dark…

So, I write a book of poems and thoughts to be published the day after election day…

About kayaerbil

I am a Berkeley educated chemistry Ph.D. who is moving into the area of working on developing appropriate technology for communities that are subjected to socio-economic oppression. The goal is to use simple and effective designs to empower people to live better lives. Currently, I am working with Native Americans on Pine Ridge, the Lakota reservation in South Dakota. I am working with a Native owned and run solar energy company. We are currently working on building a compressed earth block (CEB) house that showcases many of the technologies that the company has developed. The CEB house is made of locally derived resources, earth from the reservation. The blocks are naturally thermally insulating, keeping the house cool in the summer and warm in the winter. Eventually, a solar air heater and photovoltaic panels will be installed into the house to power the home and keep it warm, while preserving the house off the grid. A side project while in Pine Ridge is a solar computer. I hope to learn about blockchain encryption software for building microgrids. In addition, it is an immediate interest of mine to involve local youth in technology education.
