Green Mental Healthcare Now! <3

I have a dream where Syrian refugees are in school like Clarkston High School with rich white children and blacks. I want to see the future of Clarkston High School in my dream. I see in this dream a peace coming to America, a time when the rich will voluntarily give away what they have to those in need. I see in then Millenials a generation that is love with social justice and peace. The Baby Boomers got fat and lazy on the riches and gold of the 1950’s-2000’s. The future is a future of austerity and thus mental health care must adapt. We must see the American mental health system learning from the African system. The major idea I have at this point is developing a program to encourage American mental hospitals to grow gardens to therapy and to engage in Art Therapy as a regular practice. I love people. I want to see the engagement with nature to become a normalized aspect of mental health care in this country over the idea of, “Have you taken your lithium or other meds?” That is none of your fucking business. It is my body, if people can do abortions in a Pro-Choice world, people can choose the path they want with their own mental health treatment. People have the right to seek the right treatment path freely without corporate pressure. That is my mission now. Please listen! I am not manic, there is a flood of ideas coming from stress due to the University of Minnesota pressure about legal stuff and disclosure with my mental health treatment. Dave in the disability office is not helpful, he is the problem. I am angry and tired of this run around. We need nature to come back in the mental healthcare system. Let us just focus on the trees and animals and love them and forget the rest.

About kayaerbil

I am a Berkeley educated chemistry Ph.D. who is moving into the area of working on developing appropriate technology for communities that are subjected to socio-economic oppression. The goal is to use simple and effective designs to empower people to live better lives. Currently, I am working with Native Americans on Pine Ridge, the Lakota reservation in South Dakota. I am working with a Native owned and run solar energy company. We are currently working on building a compressed earth block (CEB) house that showcases many of the technologies that the company has developed. The CEB house is made of locally derived resources, earth from the reservation. The blocks are naturally thermally insulating, keeping the house cool in the summer and warm in the winter. Eventually, a solar air heater and photovoltaic panels will be installed into the house to power the home and keep it warm, while preserving the house off the grid. A side project while in Pine Ridge is a solar computer. I hope to learn about blockchain encryption software for building microgrids. In addition, it is an immediate interest of mine to involve local youth in technology education.
